Chikungunya Fever: In 2013, it was first found in the Americas on islands in the Caribbean. It has since spread through Central, North, and South America.
Zika Virus: This mosquito-borne illness has been reported in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and American Samoa. There have been no recorded local transmission cases within the U.S., meaning that the virus was transmitted to victims while they were outside of the country.
